Description

Have you been looking for that authentic cabin experience in the Black Hills? Well look no further as you've found it with Pines Peak Cabin. Located in the Terry Peak subdivision, bring your skis/snowboards and be prepared to enjoy the winter experience many travels love about the area. Being only 10 minutes from Deadwood, you can easily access the fun in town and come back to your cabin and sip a beverage by the fire. Close to ATV/Snowmobile trails, you can access this long set of trails seamlessly and have all the amenities of home when you return from your adventures.

The home boasts 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all set on one level with a large deck. The cozy living room has a warm fireplace and the kitchen is open and has plenty of seating. The master bedroom has a king bed, while the second bedroom has a full sized bed. One of the bedrooms does have a shower as well off the living area. It's easily accessible on motorcycles and has plenty of parking at the property.

It's the perfect place to enjoy your cozy cabin getaway with some rest and relaxation. Minutes to everything! A little more adventurous? Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park and Needles Highway is only an hour drive through a winding highway through the trees. Come enjoy some peace and quiet - you might just stay awhile.

Whether you loan on staying in the cabin to relax, or if you are using it as a place to stay while hanging out in deadwood and the black hills, this cabin was the best place we have stayed at within the black hills.

It was such a great cabin! It was so close to Terry Pean for skiing and the place was so cozy and it had everything we needed and more! The hot tub was so nice as well as all the bathrooms!!

We had a wonderful time using this cozy cabin as base camp while we explored the northern Black Hills area. Great location up on Terry Peak! Nights cooled off and we never needed the A/C. Would love to come back.

Cute well-furnished cabin but not a 2-bed room. There’s a full-size murphy bed in the in the living room, this is not a bedroom. We had trouble with the washing machine and the manager was no help, we finally figured out the hot and cold were hooked up backwards. But overall, not a bad place.

Wellll, no one's fault but we were snowed in the whole stay. Used the hot tub once before there was to much snow to remove the top. There is the first problem we had, no broom. With that kind of snow power could of been a real problem. Problem # 2, there should be emergency wood. Put a charge on it if used. Problem # 3, no shovel. I had to borrow the neighbors shovel to dig out up to 30" of snow. If it weren't for a freak snow storm it would of been perfect.

Overall our experience was good. They advertise a murphy bed, but there wasn't one. The freezer door would not close, so we had to tape it shut. The steps for the deck were pretty worn down. The cabin was clean.

We've looked at the freeze door, but there weren't any issues with it - one of the shelves was out a little too far and just needed to be pushed back in. Staying at a cabin was not only a great idea, but also pleasant to get away from all the everyday noise. The location was nice with a quiet area to relax, grill, and not worry about anything. The hot tub was a real winner for me personally.

My husband and I, along with our two kids, were looking for an outdoor vacation that would give us a bit of a break from COVID. The Black Hills did not disappoint, and this cabin was a great place to stay. It was very clean and the management company was professional. The "living room" furniture was very nice and the beds (even the murphy bed) were comfortable. There are pros and cons to the location -- in the winter, it is a great location for skiing. It is right around the corner from Terry Peaks. In the summer, it is off the beaten path, but still close to some main roads and small towns. It was a great location for sights in the northern part of the Black Hills, but a bit of a trek down to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, etc. The hot tub was VERY nice and the stars were wonderful!

place was very clean. Warm and dry. Only downside was limited hot water for showers. Had to really adjust knobs and take short showers. The hot tub was wonderfully warm however!

We chose this location to be close to the archery shoot on Terry Peak, so I was balancing cost against convenience and considered driving up from a hotel in Lead/Deadwood. The master bedroom is roomy and comfortable, but the living room/murphy bed feels very tight and crowded if you have kids with you. Both bathrooms are very tiny. AC is only located in the kitchen, but the heat works well. Highlights include sitting on the porch swing, watching the squirrels play.

Enjoyed our stay on Terry Peak! The cabin is cozy and some of the furnishings are a bit dated, but the surroundings are amazing! Loved sitting on the deck, walking the neighborhood and enjoying the hot tub. It was a great get away - close to everything, but very quiet and relaxing.

We loved our stay. The cabin is older, but well cared for with all the extras, i.e. hot tub, TV’s, washer and dryer, large kitchen space, and two bathrooms. There were just two of us, but other family stayed nearby and we had plenty of space to sit around the table and play cards. The Murphy bed allowed a grandchild to stay with us one night.
