Look no further, Lazy Moose Lodge is sure to be your next favorite cabin when vacationing to the Black Hills! The cabin is perfectly located in the Deer Mountain/Mystic Miner subdivision, directly across the highway from Recreational Springs, where you can join the local ATV/Snowmobile trail system and ride to your hearts desire! You're also only 5 minutes down the road from the start of Spearfish Canyon and Cheyenne Crossing, so you can get a great meal and cruise through the canyon, stop and fish the prized streams, or hike to see some local caves! In under 15 minutes you can also be gambling in Deadwood or enjoying a local meal at one of the many restaurants on Main Street Deadwood and there's also taxi service to and from the cabin! You can ski/snowboard on Terry Peak in under a 10 minute drive as well! If you're visiting to see Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park or Sylvan Lake, you can be there in under an hour's drive. Whether you're in the area to see the sights, or take in a weekend of relaxing, Lazy Moose Lodge is the perfect base camp for your vacation.

The cabin itself boasts 3 bedrooms with an open kitchen and living area great for entertaining. There's two decks as well where you can enjoy watching the local wildlife that frequent the area or listen to the wind blow through the ponderosa pine trees. There's also a brand new hot tub!! The fireplace is perfect for keeping you cozy warm and a flat screen TV in the living area. The first bedroom includes a queen bed, while the second bedroom also has a queen bed. The third bedroom includes two full size beds as a bunk bed as well. Lazy Moose Lodge is a great cabin for your next vacation and we welcome you on your next memory-filled getaway!

This was a great place to come back to after a long day of 4 wheeling. The pull through drive was perfect for our trucks and trailer. Everything we needed.

Very cozy, comfortable cabin. Pleasantly surprised with how well the kitchen was equipped with appliances and utinsels! Location is minutes away from the Terry Peak ski resort and offers lots of privacy to enjoy the hot tub and barbecues on the back patio. Would definitely stay again!

Cabin was well equipped and quiet, and the best was the location. It was far enough away but close to everything we wanted to see. It would have been nice to have a bathroom on the second floor with the 2 bedrooms. Also, we've learned many places have no closets or drawers for clothing, so living out of a suitcase for days and days. Also, the coffee pot didn't work correctly, and the fan in the lower level didn't work.

Our Cabin worked out great for the four of us. Was close to UTV Trails and entertainment. Pictures on website were accurate with good supply of dishes and cookware. We had one issue with a toilet. One e-mail to Budi our contact and it was fixed that afternoon. Location was close to Deadwood which was nice. Just down the road is a bar called Boars Nest. Great food and lots to look at. We would recommend Black Hills Lodging. Communication was great. Easy check in and check out. We would return.

I was very happy when I walked in the door. The cabin was awesome! Very clean and had a great hot tub for after the rocky atv trail. Never had a problem with anything with the cabin. It is so centrally located we were able to drive to every place we needed to visit in 45 minutes or less.

Cabin looks small but is actually very spacious inside. Plenty of room for the two of us. Back deck is private with hot tub to enjoy at the end of the day. Upstairs tv room very comfortable. Location is close to spearfish canyon and UTV trails. Will definitely stay again.

This Cabin was amazing. Very clean, smooth entry. Very quiet and quaint. This cabin was exactly what was described. We had to call the owner and she was very responsive. We spent time in Deadwood, which was only 10 minutes away. Will definitely be renting again.

The cabin was perfect. The location was great with its proximity to the snowmobile trails. The size was just right for our family of 5 as everyone had their own space and bed. With 2 bathrooms, nobody had to wait when it was time to get ready to go. Everything was clean and organized. We have rented many cabins in this area and we would definitely stay here again.

The "cabin" was sufficient for our needs. It is smaller than thought, but was perfect for the 5 adults in our group (and all our snowmobile gear)! The hot tub was amazing after cold days on the trails and the ability to relax, cook, and hang out after long days was much appreciated. The snow removal prior to our arrival was a little disappointed as it was just a narrow path from the drive to the door, and there was no snow shovel or ice melt found to help us keep it clear throughout the weekend. However, there was a broom and we had a shovel in our gear - so made due. Budi was very accommodating to questions and follow up. There was no room to pull our snow mobile trailer so had to leave that down the road at Trails Head.

Cabin was in great location. Trees along driveway can make it difficult if pulling a trailer. Knew the living room area was upstairs but wish it had at least some on the main floor. No where to put anything in bedroom on main floor, no closet or dresser. Had to sweep kitchen after cleaning person and receipts from a couple weeks ago still laying around by TV on main floor.

We’re a family from Michigan who wanted to experience the freedom of the Black Hills. The area has a lot to offer, with biking trails close by, Lead and Deadwood just a short drive up the road, Recreational Springs Resort across the road which has a restaurant and UTV rentals, and Mt. Rushmore and that area is an hour’s drive. We had a couple of minor issues during our stay which I addressed to the manager but never heard back. The vacuum was totally plugged so we had to take a half hour to clean it. Also the dryer wasn’t properly hooked up, so thankfully my hubby is handy and hooked it up.

This was a great cabin. Great location if you want to be out and away from things. There were deer going through the back yard daily. The cabin was also a great home base for riding our UTV’s, plenty of trails close by and still close enough to Rapid City to go do tourist things there. Loved it!

This was a great little house to rent for our pre bike week rally vacation with some friends. Close enough to Sturgis and Deadwood and all the best riding in the Black Hills but not too close to be crazy. Kitchen and dining area was a perfect size. Would have liked a bigger outdoor area to sit and relax on to watch the deer and critters. Hot tub looked nice but we didn't use it. Downstairs bedroom could use a new mattress, other beds were good and upstairs loveseat was awesome,it was great to have a washer and dryer too.

Good experience renting Lazy Moose Lodge. Communication was prompt and needs met in timely manner.
House was located in a nice place where we could hop on hwy to get to locations we wanted to visit easily.
Suggestions to improve a visit to this house would be a retractable clothesline or drying rack for swimsuits & towels after hot tub, and maybe a high shelf/rack to put clothes on as there were no closets or dressers in two rooms (one did have dresser).

Accommodated our arrival a day early. Stocked with all the necessities. Comfortable beds a plenty. Quick and easy access no key to keep up with. Close to all the attractions in deadwood. Nestled in the tranquil trees, cool for summer use. Rapid responses for our requests/questions from management. Suited us perfectly. Our RV camping family members were jealous of the roomy accommodations. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
