Description

You've found your perfect home away from on your upcoming vacation! Gilded Mountain Outpost will suit your very needs when traveling around the Black Hills! Start by relaxing in rustic luxury at this 4 BR home where you can appreciate the granite and log accents throughout the home. You'll love the custom finishes throughout the house and great views from the upper level deck - you'll have the best view of motorcycles riding by, and being just across the road from the popular Boars's Nest bar and restaurant, you can people watch all the fun motorcycles and cars that frequent the restaurant. The proximity to local amenities can't be beat - you can ride to the Mickelson trail from the property, be skiing on Terry Peak and Deer Mountain within minutes, and cruising through Spearfish Canyon in less than 10 minutes.

The home boasts a perfect set up of 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There's also been a new 5th bedroom added above the new garage, which you can enjoy for an additional $50/night (inquire - extra room doesn't have A/C, but has a large window). Complete with the perfect modern rustic setting you expect from a Black Hills vacation. You'll enjoy the foosball table at the property for those late nights with friends, and have the perfect outdoor wood burning firepit to enjoy with your comrades. The heated one car garage is a game room with a foosball table and the new hot tub is the perfect night cap to enjoy with friends. Gilded Mountain Outpost is right off Hwy 85 and is paved all the way up until the final driveway, which is a gravel driveway. There's also additional parking across Gilded Mountain Road with a secondary gravel driveway for your trailers or motorcycles.

The Gilded Mountain Outpost was a perfect spot for the week prior to Sturgis. The wrap around deck was a great place to relax and watch all the bikes come through. The house was great very clean and very up to date amenities.

The cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. I think our biggest complaint would be that the 5th bedroom had no A/C or an attached bathroom. We were lucky that all that stayed were family, but i cannot imagine renting that room out seperately to people that are not with the main cabin renters.

We LOVE The Black Hills. The Outpost cabin helped make our stay even more perfect. The cabin had a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of linens, and so much space for each of us to have our own area. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises each morning in the deck, and our littles enjoyed s’mores each night after time in the hot tub.

It was a nice cabin and our family enjoyed our stay there. It was a little icy getting up to the cabin but the company sent a sander very quickly to help get the ice broke up. Appreciated the quick attention to this.

We had a wonderful Christmas Stay and made great Christmas Memories. Gilded Mountain is a great area and would highly recommend the cabins in this area.

The only suggestion I would have is that you upgrade the beds. The upstairs and main floor beds are very uncomfortable and need upgrading. Highly recommend that you make this upgrade.

What a great place to stay. Scenery fantastic. Close to many attractions. Enjoyed riding the UTVs and sightseeing seeing wildlife. They have absolutely every thing stocked for cooking etc. Hard to leave at end of vacation. Only thing can think of it would be nice to have hand rail going up to main floor inside as my Wife and I are not spring chickens and would feel little more safe with hand rail. I would sure stay there again.

There were four couples in our group with ages ranging from 51 to 67. We all enjoyed the place and location. We rode for two days. The Outpost is a very nice place to stay. Would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. Trailer parking would be the only deduction. Will be back next year.

We rented two cabins from Gilded Mountain as a celebration of our parents 50th anniversary.

The cabins are well maintained, clean with all the ammenities and a full kitchen. We were able to cook for 24 people with ease. The laundry was a convienience as was all the games, jacuzzi's and the firepit.
The cabins are secluded and peaceful. We enjoyed the clubhouse swimming pool and sauna as well as the poker tables upstairs.
The cabins are located not far from Deadwood,but far enough away to miss the traffic that fills a destination location.

I would highly recomend this to anyone that wants a stress free vacation with all the ammenities of home.

We had a group of people that absolutely loved the stay. Comfortable and like home. The Freezer handle was broken but it wasn't a big inconvenience. We also had a little trouble with the basement tv. Not anything that really made the stay bad. I would come back here every year. LOVED IT!

We stayed here with two other families. The garage with the foosball table kept our many shoes, jackets, and miscellaneous stuff out from underfoot. Having the option of the additional bedroom above the garage was perfect. We loved the location right off the highway with mountain and stream views. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this was one of the cleanest and most thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for our stay.

The property is very nice and I would stay again despite trouble we had during our stay. The only reason I mention this is because I want people to know that the management company and owner of the property were very accommodating and did their best to fix an unforeseen issue that came up during our stay.

So close to Terry Peak, maybe 3 miles. Deadwood was just down the road. Everything you needed for a relaxing weekend. Hot tub was great too! Will definitely be coming back. Budi was great to work with!

House is very nice - plenty of room for our family of six. Kitchen is well stocked - even had a popcorn popper which was a nice touch. Family enjoyed the hot tub a few times after a day of skiing and another of hiking. Would recommend this to anyone. Buddi was also very easy to get a hold of if needed (had question about WiFi).

Upon arrival noticed parking was going to be tough with 2 trailers. Incline of drive was tough for the grandparents. When entering home it was very clean except a door may have been left open prior to arrival, we killed about 30 flies the first night. Rained out most all week so we stayed indoors a lot. The remotes to the tv did not work however the kitchen table was a great space for playing cards. Good location.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, and we're super impressed. Extremely clean, organized, as well as well furnished. We sat in the hot tub and talked about friends and family to revisited this spot we loved it so much. It is conviently on the highway, yet tucked away so you don't feel exposed to all the people driving by. We will most definitely be going back to this rental without a doubt in my mind. I recommend this place to anyone! The only thing that would be a down fall is that it is some distance from a lot of the attractions, but a little drive through the hills isn't bad to look at!

This rental was perfect for our family to spend the weekend and enjoy the beautiful Black Hills. It had everything we needed to feel like we were home. We are looking forward to planning another vacation there next year.

Place was really nice and accommodated eight adults and four kids just fine. Great location and value for Terry Peak and snowmobiling. Would recommend to friends. Will stay again!

This home was extraordinarily clean. The location was awesome, the deck brought hours of relaxation with gorgeous views! One night we were treated with a lightning storm that will be remembered forever, all from the safety of the deck. The bedrooms were spacious, the shower water was hot, and the kitchen was perfect for meal making, just an overall awesome experience!!! I highly recommend this property for your Black Hills adventure
