It was great - one of the beds was a little hard for the person that slept in it but that was the only complaint I had from anyone.

Such a cool place to stay. We had a group of 6 friends staying for an event across the street. it was the PERFECT place after a long road trip to get laundry done, hang out and relax after riding a few days. Would 10/10 recommend. IF you are on motorcycles...the driveway is gravel and STEEP. We were on adventure bikes and had little problem, but this is something to be aware of.

My only complaint was the wifi was not great and made it challenging to watch football.

The Gilded Mountain Outpost was a perfect spot for the week prior to Sturgis. The wrap around deck was a great place to relax and watch all the bikes come through. The house was great very clean and very up to date amenities.

It was a nice cabin and our family enjoyed our stay there. It was a little icy getting up to the cabin but the company sent a sander very quickly to help get the ice broke up. Appreciated the quick attention to this.

The cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. I think our biggest complaint would be that the 5th bedroom had no A/C or an attached bathroom. We were lucky that all that stayed were family, but i cannot imagine renting that room out seperately to people that are not with the main cabin renters.

We LOVE The Black Hills. The Outpost cabin helped make our stay even more perfect. The cabin had a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of linens, and so much space for each of us to have our own area. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises each morning in the deck, and our littles enjoyed s’mores each night after time in the hot tub.

We stayed here with two other families. The garage with the foosball table kept our many shoes, jackets, and miscellaneous stuff out from underfoot. Having the option of the additional bedroom above the garage was perfect. We loved the location right off the highway with mountain and stream views. We have stayed in many vacation rentals, and this was one of the cleanest and most thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for our stay.

The cabins are located not far from Deadwood,but far enough away to miss the traffic that fills a destination location.

I would highly recomend this to anyone that wants a stress free vacation with all the ammenities of home.

Property was in a great location, close to Deadwood and a reasonable taxi fee if you didn't want to drive to deadwood. Loved that there are three bathrooms, allowing each couple to have their own. Enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal. The house was clean for the most part. Windows had had smudges all over them. The tv screen wasn't very clean. But overall, it was a great house! Had a little glitch with the payment processing and I was charged twice but they were able to resolve it.

There were four couples in our group with ages ranging from 51 to 67. We all enjoyed the place and location. We rode for two days. The Outpost is a very nice place to stay. Would rate it a 8.5 out of 10. Trailer parking would be the only deduction. Will be back next year.

This is my second time visiting the Black Hills and both times I have rented through Black Hills Adventure Lodging. Both times the houses were just as described. I can't wait to return to South Dakota and Black Hills Adventure Lodging will be my first call.

What a great place to stay. Scenery fantastic. Close to many attractions. Enjoyed riding the UTVs and sightseeing seeing wildlife. They have absolutely every thing stocked for cooking etc. Hard to leave at end of vacation. Only thing can think of it would be nice to have hand rail going up to main floor inside as my Wife and I are not spring chickens and would feel little more safe with hand rail. I would sure stay there again.

The house was clean, the bed comfortable, and there was plenty of room for our family vacation. Somethings to consider, the house has many steps and is not very quiet during the day because of proximity to the road.
The manger gave good directions and expectations were clearly written out.

We had a wonderful Christmas Stay and made great Christmas Memories. Gilded Mountain is a great area and would highly recommend the cabins in this area.

The only suggestion I would have is that you upgrade the beds. The upstairs and main floor beds are very uncomfortable and need upgrading. Highly recommend that you make this upgrade.

When we arrived there was a worker there telling us we had no water. For the first few hours we didnt have water but also couldn't leave because they we parked and working I the way. Also things in the cabin like rugs, trash bins, and dishes weren't put away. The deck and hot tub were not shoveled so if we wanted to use them we had to shovel ourselves. In the description it said there was a fire place we could use, but that was also not cleared off and the area was covered with snow. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable and besides the bedrooms none of the windows had shades so there was no privacy. We stay in the area a few times a year and this was definitely our most dissapointing stay.

Upon arrival noticed parking was going to be tough with 2 trailers. Incline of drive was tough for the grandparents. When entering home it was very clean except a door may have been left open prior to arrival, we killed about 30 flies the first night. Rained out most all week so we stayed indoors a lot. The remotes to the tv did not work however the kitchen table was a great space for playing cards. Good location.

So close to Terry Peak, maybe 3 miles. Deadwood was just down the road. Everything you needed for a relaxing weekend. Hot tub was great too! Will definitely be coming back. Budi was great to work with!
