Welcome to this wonderful luxurious cabin outside of Deadwood known as Diamond In The Rough. A true work of art, you'll enjoy an unparalleled vacation experience here at at this incredible one-of-a-kind vacation home. Located just outside of Lead, but close to Deadwood, the location is great for enjoying the local Northern Hills recreational corridor while still giving you the privacy of that cabin experience you're looking for when traveling to the Black Hills. In just minutes you could be skiing at Terry Peak, riding your ATV/snowmobile on the local trail system, fly fishing or hiking in Spearfish Canyon, playing a hand at BlackJack in Deadwood, or staying in nestled by the fire with your feet up surrounded by friends. You're also just about an hour away from the many popular sights of Mount Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, Keystone, Custer State Park and many caves in the central Hills. Whether you're vacationing in the area for some rest and relaxation, or an adventure filled experience, Diamond In The Rough is sure to offer you that truly unique memorable experience you've been dreaming of when planning your trip.

After your days of exploring and enjoying the wonderful scenery, coming home to your very own luxurious cabin is sure to build excitement. You'll enjoy the local wildlife that frequent the area, take in the magnificent starry night skies, or just lounge in the hot tub with your friends and family. There's plenty of space with 5,000 sq. ft spread across two floors and another 1,000 sq. ft in the heated 3-car garage! The open living/kitchen area, with 2 refrigerators, is perfect for gathering and enjoying your company, and also includes seating for up to 22 people comfortably in the dining area! The kitchen has all new appliances perfect for making meals in the comfort of the cabin, while the large living room includes expansive windows with incredible views of Terry Peak, Mystic Miner and the surrounding forest. There's also a fireplace and recliners to set the mood for rest and relaxation! There's a large deck off the main living area where you can take in the wonderful sound of breeze blowing through the ponderosa pines trees or start up the grill! The lower level includes an open concept bar area leading into a great entertaining room with a pool table, foosball, and a pac-man original game with over 2000 games loaded on it! There's also a patio off the lower level living area with a hot tub! You'll also love the convenience of having laundry on both floors of the cabin. There's 7 total bedrooms and enough beds to sleep 30 people! You can view the bed configuration in more detail below. This vacation rental is in a great location with lots of activities nearby. The home is well kept with many beds so it can accommodate large groups. The neighborhood is very nice and the Community Center was great with two pools and a splash pad for all ages. There were many trails accessible from the grounds for UTVs. The communication was a bit lacking and I would have liked to have had the kitchen better supplied with cooking and storage essentials but overall we were able to make due and pick up what we needed. It was great for our family reunion.

We had a fabulous stay at this beautiful home! 13 adults - plenty of bathrooms and beds - take the 4 wheelers off the trailers and head to hundred of miles right from the house!

We had a large group of lifelong friends from all over the country stay here for rally week. It was a great spot to gather in the evenings and plenty of space to spread out for privacy. Perfect location for riding to all of the prominent spots. We would stay here every time!

This house was absolutely perfect! We had a group of 14 staying for 5 days. We had enough UTVs, gear, coolers, and food to match and we had plenty of space! When I say the homeowners have thought of everything, I mean it! An over the top stocked pantry and spice cabinet, dishes and silverware...absolutely amazing. The beds and bedding were superior. The views were stunning. You will want for nothing you may have forgotten when staying here. The ONLY 2 things, if I had to pick on something, was the lack of extra toilet tissue and not being able to adjust the thermostat upstairs. We have stayed in enough homes to realize we need to bring our own TP with and we could absolutely deal with the thermostat. Having 14 people with different temp preferences isn’t anything I would consider a con...just worth the mention. All in all, this house is absolutely worth every penny and we will be back!

We stayed at this beautiful home for our daughters wedding in October. Not only was the home beautiful but spacious. No one felt like they were on top of one another. We also, rented the home next door which allowed the entire family to be together and enjoy great quality time. The fall views were amazing! Wish we could have stayed longer.

A group of 20 of us stayed at this cabin for three nights in the fall. There was more than enough room to comfortably accommodate all of us, and an endless amount of amenities. The cabin was stunning and located in a beautiful part of the Black Hills. It was also very easy to get to and from Deadwood from the location. In short, our experience was better than we could have ever imagined.

We’ve stayed at the Diamond in the Rough several times and will continue to rent it in the future. It’s perfect for large groups, plenty of space for people to spread out and relax. It is extremely clean and very well decorated with a great floor plan layout. It’s nice that most bedrooms have an attached private bathroom. Beautiful area and close to many UTV trails.

We stayed here for my brother and sister-in-law’s combined Bach party. Everything from the reservation process to the property and the staff was amazing! We definitely will try to come back again soon! The only comment that we have is the hot tub didn’t have any chlorine in it, so it got very gross fast and we thought we did something wrong, but found it didn’t have the tabs to keep it maintained. Only complaint!

I saw others say the pictures don’t do it justice. I agree. Wow! What a beautiful setting. There was plenty of room for our family of 26 (6 families) to spread out.

The only drawback was the distance from Mount Rushmore etc but it was worth the drive. We loved our stay!

A group of 7 couples came together to to spend a week in the Black Hills. Some of us rode motorcycles, others enjoyed the Mickelson trail with bikes and walks. At the end of the days we would come back together and cook and play games in this wonderful house. Tons of space and enough bedrooms and bathrooms that allowed everyone decent alone space when needed. The large kitchen and 14 person dining table was a wonderful attribute of this house. The garage allowed us to park 6 motorcycles easily. We loved the privacy of the location and having access to the clubhouse with the pool. We would highly recommend this house for a large group of adults or multiple families.

Diamond in the Rough was absolutely amazing! It is a beautiful home that worked perfect for our Black Hills yearly snowmobile trip. We would like to sincerely Thank the owners for letting us stay in there home & look forward to hopefully renting again next year.

WE really enjoyed our stay. This cabin is our favorite one we rented by far. The large kitchen and living room was large enough to allow us to all enjoy watching the rodeo. We will definitely rent this cabin again. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin.

Beautiful Lodge close to terry peak and snowmobiling trails. Diamond in the a rough was a perfect place for our family vacation that accommodated our large family under one roof! We will definitely be back next year!

This was an awesome house. We were supposed to have 21 people, but my son and his family didn't make it. So we ended up with 17. Plenty of room either way though. The Pantry was amazing and very nice as we brought all of our food and cooked at the house. Awesome kitchen. Was great to be able to drive ATV's off the property to trail ride. We also enjoyed the pool. It's great they are building another pool as the one there is pretty small and the area is building like crazy. Hopefully they keep both pools up and running. Beautiful. We would stay there again.

Jackalope is a high end executive vacation home. We loved staying there and will be back! It's close to all the attractions and fun in the Black Hills. The rental company was easy to work with and made our vacation a great experience.

We had a wonderful time. The kitchen and pantry were above our expectations. There were plenty of large pans to prepare meals and dishes and silverware as well as plenty of dining space. The children enjoyed the games in the basement and the adults enjoyed some competitive corn hole games.

I traveled with a group of 15 high school students and 6 adults. Many of the kids said their favorite part of the trip was simply hanging out at the house. Truly beautiful, high end furnishings, thoughtful layout, we LOVED this home.

Don't hesitate - you will love this property! We were very pleased with this home. It is suitable for an adult group or a group with families. We were very surprised how well equipped the kitchen amenities were! There wasn't anything we were lacking to find. The game room with the bar down stairs was fantastic. We really loved having 2 sets of washers and dryers. The extra garage space was a huge bonus for our group. The location is perfect with it being not too far from town. I would definitely recommend this property!
