A very nice place with all the amenities. Clean, Comfortable and very accommodating for our adult son in wheelchair. Definitely recommend it- just keep in mind that it is a bit away from mt.Rushmore & Custer State Park to the south (~1.5 hrs)

This was a great place for our winter weekend in the Black Hills. The set up with 3 king bedrooms on the main floor was perfect for our group, plus having the spacious bonus room upstairs for all the kids was great. We made use of the heated garage as well.
Everything was decorated nicely and as pictured (besides the massage chair shown in the one bedroom!).
My caution to those traveling with young kids would be that the floor on the main level is concrete - if that raises concerns for littles falling. The open tread staircase looks great, but would also make me concerned traveling with tiny tots.
The concrete floor is very cold if you are staying here in the winter, so be sure to bring slippers or inside shoes to keep yourself warm. We would definitely stay here agin, if back in the area for skiing/winter sports!

We stayed at the Ponderosa for a UTV adventure in the Black Hills and it was outstanding! Besides having some of the finest trails and roads to ride, with some of the most terrific views in the world, the Ponderosa was the perfect house to stay in. It was centrally located for riding in the northern Black Hills, was extremely well appointed with amenities that far exceeded our expectations. We had garage space with a wash hose for our machines and ample parking for trucks and trailers. The house was delightful with plenty of room for 4 couples. Very nice kitchen with all the utensils needed and plenty of room for seating. Very comfortable beds and nice pillows! The place was very clean and seemed very new and fresh! The ice maker in the garage was terrific for beverages and for ice for coolers. Fire pit and hot tub were perfect for winding down and relaxing in the evening!
Thank you for the wonderful accommodations! It made our stay in the Black Hills terrific! We would rate the Ponderosa a 10 out of 5 and would definitely stay again in the future!

Our family of 14 enjoyed our stay from start to finish! We were all able to sleep comfortably and enjoy the cabin with all ages from 1.5 yrs to 58 yrs old! The kids loved the upstairs space and the hottub. Only thing to note is the cement floors are CHILLY! But they do provide inside shoes to wear for guests or I'd suggest bringing some slippers of your own!

This property was one of the best we've stayed at! The bedroom set up with 3 king beds for the adults and the whole upstairs for the kids to sleep and hang out was perfect. The quality of the bedding was very nice and we enjoyed that there were also lots of throw blankets to snuggle with when lounging. Everyone enjoyed having the Hot Tub on our back patio and the kids spent lots of time at the clubhouse pools. We were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our kids and 5 grandchildren and would highly recommend staying at The Ponderosa ��

Hands down the best rental I've stayed in! Spacious, clean, location was perfect, and no stone was left unturned! Ice maker, kitchen well stocked and loved the large island! The driveway is ENORMOUS!
My husband and I took a walk every morning and the neighborhood is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous houses and views! We even saw a doe and her twins tucked into the trees. Great place to connect with nature as well.

The house was lovely & spacious. The space upstairs was perfect for my grandsons. We had issues with the doorlock( probably user issue!) & lights in laundry room not working...the problems were promptly taken care of. Wish the kitchen had a roasting pot. Great place to stay!
