Welcome to Living In the Pines - a brand new 6 bedroom custom lodge that has been fully designed and furnished to help your group feel at home, provide ample space to spread out and enjoy some entertainment, and set up the perfect location for you to enjoy everything the Black Hills has to offer! Even better, it's located in the heart of the Northern Hills recreational corridor in Powder House Pass!

Living in the pines has zero steps leading into the main level from outside, making it great for everyone in your group. As you walk into the main living area, you're greeted with large windows, plenty of natural light, and a huge open living/kitchen/dining area with vaulted ceilings! The open kitchen area is well stock and opens up into the dining room, and living room. The living area is full of windows with a fireplace, and TV. The dining area is just off the kitchen with a large patio door that leads out onto the covered patio area. There's a gas grill on the patio area along with a cozy hot tub with a great view of the stars, and enough space to enjoy some time outside with your group. There's also 2 bedrooms on the main level just off the living area! The upper level includes a loft with a pool table, a bar area, and three more bedrooms plus a bunk room! The loft area leads outside onto a large balcony deck over the garage that has surrounding views of the forest and hills. You can enjoy your company while watching the wildlife from up there! There's also a large two car garage on the main level just off the kitchen area, ideal for parking your snowmobiles or ATV's that you've brought along for your adventure filled vacation!

Outside there's a driveway in front of the garage making it great for parking additional vehicles or ATV trailer. It's located right on the main road through the subdivision, just a couple minute walk from the expansive clubhouse that you can see from the front of the property. The clubhouse is complete with its game room, outdoor heated pool open all year, and larger non-heated pool open in the summer months. ATV and snowmobile trails can be easily accessed right from the cabin, as they're located just on the outside edge of the subdivision.

Deadwood is also just 15 minutes from the lodge with taxi service that will come to the property! You can also be enjoying Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Sylvan Lake, Custer State Park and more within just an hour drive!

Our stay here was wonderful! Beautiful grounds, a clean and modern house, a very convenient room layout, and each family had a private bathroom! The kitchen is large, fully equipped with dishes, a large refrigerator, and there's a kitchenette upstairs. There were plenty of towels for the pool and hot tub. Our men really enjoyed the large grill, as there were a lot of us and we needed to grill a lot of steaks, and they made quick work of it! We chose this house because of the large number of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the pool table.

The home was beautiful and very clean. It accommodated our family perfectly- the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was a nice treat on the chilly evenings. The 2 pools were nicely located and within walking distance. The only thing was the lack of hot water in all but the master bath.

Each year, instead of buying Christmas gifts, our family rents a home in the Black Hills and spends quality time together. This home was fantastic for our family of seven children, 4 spouses, and 18 grandchildren (ages 6 weeks to 13). Lots of room, lots of beds & baths and perfect location for skiing & snowmobiling. The only thing our family would have enjoyed having was a chair that rocked for the babies. I would highly recommend this home. It was all around perfect!

We loved this house. It is perfect for a large group, and has so many bedrooms with different sleeping options. The house was decorated very nice. It is perfect for entertainment, and fun! We do a side-by-side trip every year, and it was perfect. The only critique I have is that the kitchen, although well, equipped with some things, was missing other things when cooking meals at night. But we may do and had a great experience! Would definitely rent again!

Five siblings & spouses gathered along with their extended families to celebrate their 16th family reunion. It was decided last year, to locate rental property in the Black Hills for the family Reunion. Your property rentals were recommended to us by a family friend. We were fortunate to locate two properties that could accommodate our large group & both properties be within walking distance of each other in the Powder House Pass area. Our rental was Living in the Pines, we truly could have used nine bedrooms each with a private bath, but we made six bedrooms work. We love the location and took advantage of all of the sites in and around Lead, Deadwood & Rapid City to entertain our group. We certainly would recommend Black Hills adventure, property for anyone looking to locate vacation rental in this area of South Dakota.

This was our first time to the Black Hills, and living in the Pines was an amazing home. Everything was fantastic. Perhaps, because the home was brand new, there were a few minor maintenance issues that needed attention. Otherwise, the house was wonderfully stocked clean bed were very comfortable, and there was plenty of room for everyone. One really nice aspect of this home is that every room could fit a family with the use of double bunkbeds. We loved that! Also, having a heated garage was fantastic in the winter. Thank you!

I've held women's retreats in several Powderhouse Pass properties and was very happy with Living in the Pines. There were plenty of towels, throw blankets, and dishes/silverware for a large group of people. Not to mention the HUGE refrigerator/freezer. Beds were comfy and we used the hot tub every evening. The only thing I wish we had was a 2nd seating area. We didn't use the pool table and that's a perfect place to create another living space. Other than that, my guests loved this home!

Staying at our adventure lodging was absolutely perfect. We had a large group of ladies and everyone had more than enough space to relax, get ready, and sleep. The place was clean, inviting, homey, and well taken care of. Communication with Budi was great as well.
