Description

From the team behind 605 Magazine, stay at the 605 Cabin. This newly constructed, modern take on a cabin in the woods is surrounded by tall pine trees and has 360-degree views with nothing but uninterrupted forest. Though private on 3 acres of walkable land, the 605 Cabin has easy in and out access on year-round maintained roads, underground electric wires to not block the view, cell service, high speed internet, fast wifi 6, Sonos speakers, and has fresh city water. Either keep the two large flat screen TVs off to unplug, or stream entertainment by the wood-burning fireplace or in the lower level living room.

Walk in and see the bright, white walls and colorful decor in the open concept living room and kitchen. Admire local art, like the Steve Bormes buffalo (named Buffalois) above the fireplace and a custom canoe light hanging over the staircase.

The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and a Keurig is also provided. Enjoy a brew (caffeinated or other) on the deck lounger, and have breakfast at the island or at the dining room table for eight. Relax and unwind after your adventures in the hot tub overlooking the breathtaking landscapes. Enjoy a relaxing evening around the gas fire-pit as well!

While secluded, the cabin is centrally located between everything in the northern Black Hills. Just 3 miles from Deadwood and Lead, 5 miles from Spearfish and Spearfish Canyon, and 8 miles from the greatest breakfast place in the world, Cheyenne Crossing. Feel like skiing or snowboarding? The cabin is also 6 miles from Terry Peak.

Up to 10 can comfortably sleep in the home, with a master bedroom (king-size bed with a walk-in closet), and two bedrooms on the bottom floor (one queen-size bed, and one bunk bed with two Full beds and one twin trundle). Simply fold out the bottom floor couch for another full sleeping arrangement.

This was my first time using Black Hills Adventure Lodging. It was a great experience and I will be booking with them again, easy process, great property, amazing views and extremely reasonable. I called with a few questions since this was my first stay with them, the staff not only answered the questions, but chatted like we had been friends for years!!!

Our family of 6 loved this cabin. It was close to Spearfish and Deadwood. There was plenty to do for everyone. The house was immaculate and views took our breath away from the moment we walked in the door. I loved the unique decor!

Unique home off of the Maitland Road.
The vacation rental was in a good location - well maintained gravel roads and easy driving directions.
The home was clean and in good shape. The kitchen, dining room and living room furniture was trendy, but not comfortable. The beds were comfortable.
Overall our family had a great stay at this location.

My wife and I stayed at the 605 cabin, along with our daughter, her husband and their two year old. It was the perfect setup, with their own bathroom and two bedrooms in the lower level. We were very comfortably in the master suite. The newness you see in the online pictures has not worn off. It is tasteful and unique. The large windows were perfect. We spotted deer meandering through multiple times, and even turkeys. You
Are in a development, but absolutely can’t see any neighbors. The gravel road to get there twists a little, but that’s typical for the Hills.
They have been very careful to supply all you need. The deck was sublime, with a grill connected directly to the
Natural gas, as was the lower patio fire pit. The Sonos sound system was a
Snap to connect to, and the wifi was excellent. Food basics (such as olive oil to Worcestershire sauce) and seasonings made us want for nothing.
The wide open main level space the modern and perfect. There’s no real yard for a small one, but we didn’t miss it at all. Her bedroom had a
Bunk bed and even a pack and play. There was a gate for the stairway that was very easy to install. The pictures show. O blinds in the bedrooms, which we were concerned about. But blinds have been added in the lower level.

All in all, we would easily be happy to return to the 605 cabin.

The 605 Cabin is a wonderful. We came as a family to experience the Black Hills. The cabin is welcoming and has many different spaces for different activities. We really liked having functioning Wifi. The cabin is like new and in a good location for most of the Black Hills attractions. We plan on returning in the future.

My husband and I had a quiet, peaceful getaway. The cabin is so elegant and the picture windows everywhere let you stay in touch with nature. The sunsets were spectacular from inside and outside. Spent hours every morning on the deck. Loved it. Perfect. Would be great for a big family gathering place.

We had a great stay in this cabin while hosting friends from California. We enjoyed the beautiful views and took advantage of the hot tub, the grill, and the fire pit. Our kids (16 and 13) especially enjoyed the comfy robes that were available to use while at the cabin.

We rented this cabin and brought our kids and grandkids for a short vacation. Absolutely loved this cabin. So pretty and peaceful up in the woods. The only downside of the cabin is the lack of bedroom blinds. The grandkids had a hard time sleeping past 6 a.m. because of the light coming in. The views are amazing and I understand why there aren't any blinds but I would recommend they put some in the bedrooms only. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s called a cabin, but the only thing that felt like a cabin was it’s remote location. It’s actually a newly built house with unique Black Hills art (think bison head made out of an outboard motor). These folks love the Black Hills, and it shows. Two big screen TVs for entertainment. Hot tub was nice, as was the deck. We’d definitely stay there again if ever we return.

Our time in the 605 cabin was incredibly nourishing. The space is clean, calm, and offers a place to unplug to connect with nature! We had a small group of women gathering to vision cast and spend time doing yoga. We felt so well taken care of. Any issues that came up were quickly taken care of by the staff. Thank you for creating and cultivating such a lovely space!

The 605 cabin is an extraordinary experience. The owners did a fantastic job creating a very unique and South Dakota specific experience in the middle of the Northern Black Hills. I recommend this place to everyone!

The house was absolutely beautiful from the view to the decor to the location. The staff was amazing as well if I ever had a question about anything they got back to me very promptly and wer so kind about everything. The location was so awesome fat enough out to be the hustle and bustle of deadwood but so close you could run in for anything. I would 100% recommend this rental to all.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for when planning our annual girls trip. Open floor plan with a big kitchen and dining area, big bedrooms, a hot tub big enough for all of us, private back deck. The garage was a great bonus, and so was the record player. We had a blast catching up on the past year and can't wait to book this cabin again. It would be a great place for my family of 6 as well.
