Description

Step into this newly built home away from home in the wonderful forest of the Black Hills! Hideaway Haven is a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath dream home set within the newest subdivision in the area, Powder House Pass. You'll have plenty of space to feel like your alone in the woods, but still be close to all the local amenities you come to the Black Hills to enjoy - ATV/snowmobile trails, Terry Peak and Deer Mountain, Deadwood and Lead, and only a short 40 minute drive to Mount Rushmore and all the fun of the Central Black Hills!

This new property boasts a sprawling deck, a gas fire-pit within the table on the deck for those cool Black Hills nights, beautiful kitchen with granite countertops and multiple fireplaces to kick your feet up at. There are 5 total bedrooms - two with king beds, two with queen beds, two full size and one twin bed in another. There's also a loft with a seating area. Last but not least, there's a two car garage to bring your toys and enjoy some protection after a long day on the trails. It's the best of all worlds! The property also have several smart TVs with high speed internet to enjoy those cooler nights in watching movies with your family. You also get access to the local clubhouse which includes a shuffleboard table, pool table, heated pool open all year, and propane fire pit. With all these amenities you'll be hard pressed to find a better cabin!

If you bring your ATV's, the trail system is within riding distance from the property, and you can ride them over to Recreational Springs just a short drive down the road. You'll be within minutes of Deer Mountain and Terry Peak, and in 10 short minutes you can be gambling in Deadwood! The South end of Spearfish Canyon can be accessed at Cheyenne Crossing just a short 5 minute drive from the property. If you want to see the great places of the Central Black Hills, Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park are only 40 minutes South of the property on a pleasant drive through the hills. Ive stayed in several short term rentals all over the Black Hills and this one trumps them all! There is so much room inside and has everything you could possibly need while you stay. We cooked a few meals and never ran short of utensils, pots or pans. And the pots and pans are high quality vs others weve stayed in. The property is located perfectly with easy access to Terry Peak and Deadwood. If you are overwhelmed with all the properties to pick from you can be sure you'll love this one!

I rented out 2 houses for 4 nights in the Powderhouse Pass subdivision. The houses were very clean and well furnished. They were very close to orv trails and we spent 3 full days 4 wheeling through the Black Hills without having to trailer our machines at all. We didn't have any problem on our stay from check-in to check-out and communication with Black hills Adventure Lodging was great. The houses were everything we were hoping for and more. We do a couple of trips a year to the Black Hills and we are a group of 25 people so having our lodging plans go smoothly makes the trip much more enjoyable. I will be using Black Hills Adventure Lodging for all of our trips in the future. I highly recommend using them if you are planning on exploring the Black Hills.

We had 5 couples in our group. The cabin was perfect for all of us. We had a great time. Location was great, it was close to the biking trail and other activities we enjoyed doing. The cabin itself was well maintained and just as the pictures showed. The property owner was very accommodating and answered all questions . We enjoyed the community building and pool area. It was so beautiful and relaxing. I would highly recommend this property for family get togethers, getting together with friends.

The cabin worked great for two families with adult children. Loved the open living room and huge kitchen island for all of our down time and meal times. Bedrooms and bathrooms were also fantastic and we appreciated how well it was supplied with items like towels, blankets, toilet paper, and garbage bags, since that isn't always the case with rentals.

We brought our 5 kids and friends (total 9 adults) for Presidents Day weekend. We arrived on Friday evening and found the cabin to be prepared for us to enjoy. All of the amenities for us to prepare meals and relax were available. The kids found the community center, hung out there for some time, playing pool and shuffle board.
The location to Terry Peak was a short 10 minute drive, perfect for getting to the slopes.
We all enjoyed the hot tub daily. The cabin was spacious, allowed for all of us to find space to relax after a day on the slopes.

WE had such a great time. The house was perfect for our 3 families and loved the location. We were there on the 4th of July and went into Lead 3 times that day for holiday events and even snuck in a couple hours at the lodge swimming pool! Fireworks were really great! We also spent a day at Speafish Canyon and Deadwood and another day at Mount Rushmore and Keystone. That still left us 3 whole days to stay home and just veg. So we did puzzles, swimming, grilling and relaxing on those days...perfect! We'd for sure stay at this property again whenever we plan another Black Hills family vacation.

We came to this location as it was a central meeting point for family from Minnesota to Idaho. Four families were present. It was nice for every family to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The cousins enjoyed the bunk room and it worked great! Loved the hot tub on the cool nights and the common swimming area was a plus as well! Close to many attractions, ran out of time to do everything we wanted.

We loved our stay. It was hard to say goodbye. The hot tub was great. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire table on the the deck. The big island in the kitchen with seating on both sides was a great place for us all to sit and play games and socialize with our family that gathered together. The mornings on the front porch watching the sunrise in the rocking chairs was our favorite way to start the day. Everything about the Hideaway Haven was comfortable from the furniture to the beds to the decor. Hoping we can all come back again.

Overall, the rental experience was great. We did have one issue with the final payment causing a duplicate charge. But after a call to the property manager, it was quickly resolved. Wifi in the house was a little spotty. Other than that everything was wonderful.

This was our first time in the area. There was 13 people in our group. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group. The location was ideal as it was close to a gas station, and in prime location for us to hit the trails with our UTV's. It was very clean and spacious. Budi was very easy to work with and available when needed. Would highly recommend to make this your choice of stay.

Wonderful home in a new neighborhood, minutes from retails and restaurants in Lead and Deadwood. Perfect set-up for our families. Home was well-appointed with everything you might want in the kitchen, as well as plenty of extra towels, sheets, blankets, pillows - even a hair dryer! Very nice and clean rental with plenty of room for 10 guests. Close to fun small town bars and restaurants. Close to snowmobile and 4-wheeling trails. Parking was tight for ATV trailers but with some imagination we got it accomplished. Overall an awesome stay!!

The home was very, very clean and we loved spending time in the kitchen standing around the island playing games. I would stay here again! The only small concern was the lack of hot water. We did call the owner for a propane tank and they brought it right out. I would give this home 5 stars!!!

The house was beautiful. Great location. Would definitely stay there again & recommend the place to other people. Only complaints was that the garbage was full when we got there & never got picked up throughout our stay so had no place to put our garbage when we left. Also we ran out of propane on our second night had just enough to run the grill a few times. Notified person in charge but never got a response back the rest of our stay. All in all it was a great get away.

We rented this home in August, at the tail end of Sturgis M/C Rally. It was an excellent location for exploring Deadwood, Sturgis, Hill City and Mt Rushmore. We did not make it to the Badlands, or to Wall Drug, as it was just too far for a day trip, so that would be the one caution I would give you regarding location. Otherwise, 10 minutes to restaurants, entertainment and casinos, with a quiet, peaceful night away from the noise and crowds.
For the house itself, it is set up with all of the conveniences that you would need to prepare meals and spend time together. The decks are nicely furnished, and the home is quite comfortable. I understand there is a new pool in the community that you may have access to, ask when you check in.
The staff are responsive to inquiries. We had a question and received a text back immediately, and someone came out the same day to address it.
Only comments leaning towards negative would be that the AC struggled to cool the top floors during that run of 90 degree days we had in August, but the nights are pretty cool. Also, the water pressure is not what you are used to at home.
This home is as described, is comfortable, and served as a great base for our Black Hills vacation.

The house was amazing, comfortable and clean! A couple things I would note: the filters in the refrigerator need changed. While the kitchen island is actually the kitchen table as well and fit 10 of us, the seating was very uncomfortable. The stools had no back and no padding. There wasn't enough room in the living room for all of us, so we hung out at the table much of the time in the cabin. The toilet downstairs needs some looking into. It's wobbly as if it might not be bolted properly. Overall though it was a great stay.

Our family of 10 had plenty of space for relaxing and enjoying family time. We utilized the pool and game room at the community as well. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals. We had a couple of needs like additional propane and it took only one call and our needs were met in a timely manner. The beds were very comfortable. We are tallking about using this same facility for next years family outing. Would recommend this rental or one of the others in this same development.

This was the perfect spot for our family getaway! Three floors made it comfortable for our family to each have their own level! We enjoyed the hot tub, and fireplace! Not much of a yard for kids to play in, but they did do some exploring in the woods!

We had a group of eight. Six college age, and two of use are parents of one of them. This place was perfect for our group. Three levels to spread us out when we wanted different activities. The location was great. We could enjoy a relaxed start to each day, get to the attractions we wanted to see, and have plenty of time in the evenings to enjoy the property. The property management was very responsive prior to our arrival. We had no need to contact them once there as everything was in order.

Our family made MANY wonderful memories at Hideaway Haven! This home was a perfect place for us to gather. Our son and his family wanted to spend a day at Terry Peak skiing and it was just minutes away. Deadwood and Lead are also very close. Great location near Terry Peak skiing and historic Deadwood and Lead. Super clean and well stocked. Comfortable beds. Outdoor fun right next to hiking on the Mikelson Trail and a year round heated pool provide outdoor adventures too! We used the snowy front lawn as a sledding hill for small children and they had a ball. Due to COVID restrictions the clubhouse was closed but I’m sure that would have added to the fun. The pool and clubhouse are an easy walk away. Budi was very responsive to every question. I would highly recommend.
