Welcome to a new must-see property in the popular Powder House Pass named Old Fashioned! This brand new 5 bedroom custom property has been designed and built with your vacation comfort in mind. Located in the heart of the Northern Hills recreational corridor close to ATV/snowmobile trails, this lodge is sure to make your Black Hills vacation the best it can be!

Old Fashioned is a great option for those groups looking for room to spread out while having a large and open gathering area around the kitchen and living room, vaulted ceilings with floor to ceiling windows and a cozy modern fireplace! The large well-stocked kitchen has a large kitchen island and all the wonderful cooking amenities you enjoy having for cooking meals. There's a dining table with comfortable seating for up to 8 with the kitchen island having 4 bar stools. The kitchen area walks out onto the large deck with an amazing view of the starry skies and nearby forest, and there's a gas grill available as well. The living room has a large sofa, TV, and fireplace. There's also a two-stall garage great for storing those ATV and snowmobiles you bring on your trip. The upper level includes 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The lower level has a nice living area with a sectional sofa, TV, and shuffleboard table! There's a walk out from the lower level out onto the patio that has a large hot tub for those cool nights and an additional table. There's also two more bedrooms on the lower level.

Outside you'll find a nice driveway that can fit a smaller trailer or two, and great proximity to the local clubhouse where you'll have access to a heated pool, fire table and game room with pool table! You can easily take the couple minute walk over to the clubhouse down the main road through the subdivision and likely see wildlife on your short walk. There are snowmobile trails that can be accessed on the edge of the subdivision, and ATV trails that can be easily accessed on a short ride down Rochford road that you can connect with miles and miles of off-road fun!

Deadwood is only 15 minutes away and there are taxi's that do service the area if you're looking to take in a concert, gamble, enjoy some great food or just walk the historic main street. The highly popular Spearfish Canyon is just 10 minutes away as well, with its amazing fly fishing, hiking, and just taking in the beauty of the rim-rock canyon walls and local waterfalls. In about an hour drive, you can also be enjoying larger attractions like Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake or Devils Tower. The location of Old Fashioned is perfectly centralized between so many fun things to do during your vacation.

This house was everything we needed! Location was great, easy to find, all the amenities we needed for a party of 15! Not far from deadwood, lead, terry peak and everywhere else we wanted to go! Highly recommend

We stayed in the house titled the OLD Fashioned. We had 19 of us and it was a wonderful vacation. We were all impressed with the house. We each had our own space and we loved gathering on the deck and enjoying the evenings. We recommend this property to everyone!

The home was very nice and met our family’s needs. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had the cooking supplies needed. Only complaint was the poor water pressure but not sure it’s anything the home owner can fix or if it’s due to the neighborhood well system. Overall we had a great stay!

When we arrived, everyone was excited... AND PLEASANTLY SUPRISED at the inside. We were a family of 24, (11 adults and 13 kids), we LOVED it.. the size was great for us. now if our younger son gets married we will need 6 bedrooms, but for now this one did great with 5 bedrooms and each having their own bathroom!! It was so nice to have a deck to relax outside and the space inside(when it rained) the kids loved the games, that kept them totally occupied. We really like the hot tub privacy. I know the neighbor mentioned he wished theirs was alittle more closed in, because it was close to our back deck over looking them. All in All this was great, wish it was alittle closer to Rapid City because we did alot south of Lead, but still a great place to ALL be together. I'd recommend it to others. Very clean.

Overall the best cabin I’ve stayed at in the hills. I would definitely recommend. One area of concern was the lack of toilet paper. When 22 adults are in one house more than one roll of paper should be in each bathroom. We paid a lot for this house, we shouldn’t of had to go to the store to buy more.

This is a great large family or multi-family rental unit. The bedrooms are large, and each has their own bathroom, which is nice for a little privacy. Most of the bedrooms have a king bed and queen bunks, perfect if there are multiple families staying together. The family room is huge and is a great hang out space. The basement is nice for the kids to go and make some noise. We use the community pool table and pool area a lot, and love the proximity to Lead, Deadwood, hiking, dirt bike riding, etc.... We come to the Black Hills a lot because it has something for everyone, and we have rented cabins every time we come. This is in my top 3 cabins that we have rented so far and will put my request in early for next year.
One request for the Powder House Pass area is to clean up the area. There is a lot of litter, and construction mess laying around all over. I understand there is a lot of construction but there should be a level of cleanliness for a high-end cabin are such as this.

Overall everything was great. My only comment is that it is more suited for about 22 guests as we had the max which meant some had to sleep on couches or air mattresses. It worked out for our group since we did have kids with us.

This was the perfect space for our family of 21 to be all together for Christmas 2022! The rental was very clean and very well stocked. Everybody had a bed and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their stay.The area itself has so much to do! Our family enjoyed a day of snowmobiling, playing outside and sledding, and a day to Deadwood for the adults. We could have enjoyed skiing also but everybody was to tired and just wanted to enjoy the space we had for everybody. The house was decorated for Christmas for us so we didn’t have to worry about that! We have talked about trying to rent the space again for a gathering,it was perfect. Highly recommend.

This place are what dreams are made of! We had a wonderful time! Our kids were thrilled with the games in the basement! Hot tub was a nice touch after taking many spills at Terry Peak which isn’t far away. Communication was top notch ! ❤️
