Well Morning Star Lodge is one of those cabins that you'll never forget. This stunning 5-bedroom cabin is located just off Maitland road, only 5.5 miles from downtown Deadwood, and nestled on a sprawling 17 acres of wonderful forested property with hillside forest views. With being in the heart of the Northern Black Hills, you'll enjoy the proximity to the local ATV/Snowmobile trail systems, local restaurants and casinos, grocery stores, and even Spearfish Canyon with it's amazing hiking, waterfalls, and trout fishing! You'll also be within an hour's drive to Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, and Sylvan Lake with so many fun things to see an do. Whether you're planning to visit to enjoy some local trail riding, some skiing at Terry Peak, nights on the town in Deadwood or just a relaxing peaceful weekend enjoying the view from the deck, Morning Star Lodge will make you feel at home.

After spending days enjoying the local scenery, coming home to your very own cabin will be the best part of your vacation. With over 3200 sq. ft. of beautifully decorated indoor space and 1600 sq. ft. of deck space, there's plenty of space for your group to enjoy the property. There's a larger 2 stall garage with plenty of room, and the main living area is a perfect entertaining space with an open kitchen area, living, and dining area. The living room has a wall of windows with a view of the forested property, that surround a cozy fireplace and large TV. The large master bedroom is on the main floor with attached bathroom as well! The large deck is easily access through the dining area and great for entertaining both indoors and out! On the lower level you'll find a fully custom, one-of-a-kind entertainment area and bar. Complete with comfy seating by the large TV, shuffleboard, a Foosball table, and a bar top like you've probably never seen before! There's a lot of great space on the lower level with a walk out patio to the covered hot tub as well, with a forest view!

We had a group of 5 ladies for a fund weekend in the hills. It could have fit more than double that!
Deadwood was just a quick cab ride away, but we felt like we were secluded in the forest. So quiet and peaceful inside and out. Comfortable, clean, and modern design with games, cozy fireplace and kitchen. Would definitely come again!

We had a great experience renting from Black Hills adventure lodging. The home was perfect for our party of 8. We enjoyed being able to relax after a long day of enjoying the many areas near the rental. This home was exactly as described on the site. cab service was available from Deadwood. The home was well equipped with cooking equipment, towels and other toiletry items. I would definitely stay again.

We had 4 couples this cabin was perfect . The only thing was everyone said the queen beds were a little soft. My wife and I had the king bed it was just fine!

It was very enjoyable. Our entire group was pleased with the house and the location. It was in a beautiful setting. We were comfortable hanging out upstairs and downstairs around the bar. We loved that we could get in our side by sides and just leave from the house and get to Lead, Deadwood and the trails. Budi was great to work with. A few weeks before our trip we had a couple more people that wanted to stay with us but the house was full. I contacted Budi and he said they could park their motorhome on the driveway. They brought a generator and everything worked great. This was a great trip and we are already talking about going back next year.

We had a wonderful time at Morning Star Lodge! The house is beautiful, clean, accommodating, had everything we needed. The hot tub is an added bonus. The land surrounding Morning Star is woodsy and secluded from other homes on the road. The road its self has spectacular views of the mountains. Budi and Brent were helpful and quick to respond to a couple of questions our family of 6 had. We definitely would rent this house and from the rental company again!

Perfect for family Christmas. Very cozy. Love the open concept, fireplace and two car garage! Management was very accommodating and quick to respond. Only suggestion would be a space heater for basement family room. It’s a little on the cool side but still enjoyed the space. It was nice having a second refrigerator. Would highly recommend this cabin.

We stayed here for a 3 day weekend. Easy check-in and check-out instructions. Everything was very clean, tidy, and ready to go. The cabin has everything you should need including grilling utensils, crockpot, cleaning supplies, and laundry pods! Nice quiet neighborhood where you can relax for a vacation. The staff at Black Hills Adventure Lodging are also a pleasure to work with!

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous! The cabin has all of the comforts of home along with a beautiful view, spacious main area for gathering, comfortable beds and a 2 car garage. The kitchen had all of the cooking utensils and appliances needed to make our Christmas Dinner and more! The lower level game area with shuffleboard and foosball was great for the kids and the adults! Hot tub was clean and well maintained. You'll want to have 4 wheel drive if visiting in the winter. Management company was also good to work with. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and will definitely consider staying there again.

This home was equipped with all of the amenities needed for a great family vacation including a foosball table, shuffleboard table and hot tub. The home was conveniently located only about seven minutes from downtown Deadwood and was absolutely beautiful and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed a very nice extended weekend at the Morning Star Lodge. Nice accommodations, plenty of space, good amenities, fun games and entertainment, decent wifi and television. The morning sun shined brightly through the living room windows upstairs, automatic retractible shades would be a nice addition, but the deck and patio were shaded nicely to enjoy some coffee and fresh air outside. Would recommend.

We would highly recommend this home for your Black Hills vacation. Our family had a wonderful time hanging out in the basement, playing games, and using the hot tub.
The beds were comfortable.
The kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, etc.
I have already recommended this place to other family members and if we return to SD, we will be sure to stay here again.

First and foremost the house was beautiful and clean. We loved the basement, hottub, and living room area. The main downfall of our stay was the water pressure was terrible. There was very few toiletries throughout the house and didnt bring any of our own. Our experience was positive and would stay again.

The house is new and is located just north of Center City, which is very convenient to Deadwood and Terry Peak. We went on a family get-a-way and the open floor plan was very nice. It has 5 bedrooms so no one had to share! Overall, it is a very nice house and I would definitely stay there again.
