Take a step into your next favorite vacation home here at Lazy Bear Lodge. This highly sought after modern rustic cabin is located in the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor just minutes from the local ATV/snowmobile trail system, 5 minutes to skiing at Terry Peak only 10 minutes from Deadwood, 15 minutes to Spearfish Canyon Lodge, and about an hours drive to Mount Rushmore!

Lazy Bear is a 3 bedroom 2 bath cabin which will comfortably sleep 10. It is professionally furnished to make you feel right at home and the cabin has WIFI, cable, games and parking for motorcycle/ATV trailers. The main level has an open living/kitchen/dining area, with an amazing fireplace and a 55” smart TV above the mantle. Enjoy the gorgeous view from the huge deck off of the kitchen, which has a BBQ grill and picnic table. The kitchen is fully equipped with an assortment of appliances and kitchen essentials. The main level also has a full bath, laundry, and bedroom with a queen bed and TV. The lower level has a family room with a flat screen TV, blue-ray/DVD player, and a full size bunkbed. Enjoy the huge deck off of the family room, which has a private jetted hot tub and lounge chairs. The lower level also has a full bath and 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed and flat screen TV.

The Gilded Mountain community offers a paved road to the cabin, as well as use of the clubhouse, which includes a heated outdoor pool, 2 hot tubs, sauna, pool table, air hockey, exercise room and WIFI. We welcome you to Lazy Bear Lodge on your next Black Hills adventure!

We had a wonderful stay— the cabin was everything we expected and more. The surrounding area was beautiful also with amazing cabins in the woods. The only disappointment was that the clubhouse no longer had a fitness room/treadmill and the “steam room” did not work. I ended up just bundling up (it was cold when we were there), and walked the area for a workout in the mornings.

We have stayed at this cabin 3 years in a row. We love this cabin. It could use a few upgrades though. I will contact the mgmt company to discuss.

Highly recommend Lazy Bear Lodge! It was very comfortable, very clean, and well taken care of. They were very helpful with info and answering our questions before the trip and Lazy Bear was stocked with everything we needed to cook, info for things to do around the area, and fun games for the kids. We loved how close it was to the UTV rental and in a beautiful area. We loved seeing deer roam around off the back deck and the overall calming and relaxing atmosphere. We hope to be back someday!

We went to the black hills as a family to see the different sights. Devils tower, Custer state park, Mt. Rushmore and the like. Lazy bear lodge was in a great location for doing all the sight seeing. The place was cozy and had all the right amenities. The kids loved spending time at the community pool. We would eeccomend lazy bear lodge and blsck hills adventure lodging to anyone!

We had a great stay! The owners were so responsive and accommodating when our plans changed slightly. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed to make it a great trip. Perfect location close to Terry Peak, Deadwood, and more. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at the Lazy Bear Lodge! Our hot tub wasn’t working properly and they came over and fixed it so it was able to work for the remainder of our stay! The heated pool is heated to about 97 degrees he told us, and it was about -10 when we went up there. It was so nice. The only thing I would change is to add more activities to the main cabin. We will be going back to stay again!

We love the Lazy Bear cabin. Check in and out is so easy. The cabin is well decorated and so comfortable we generally don't want to leave while we are there. This was our 2nd time staying here and we will be returning.

Walked in the front door and immediately have a beautiful view of the forest. We couldn't have chosen a better cabin to stay at. The cabin was beautifully decorated and well appointed. The kitchen had everything you needed to make great meals. Beds were so comfortable, best sleep I've had in a long time. Hot tub was great. Having the use of The Clubhouse was really nice though there wasn't an Air Hockey game like is mentioned. We will definitely be coming back for a visit.

Cabin was very warm and cozy. Well supplied with dishes, pots and pans. Nice open area on main floor for gatherings. Clubhouse pool was not available which was a disappointment for the kids, however, the hot tubs were very nice!

Cabin was flawless everything I wanted it to be. Cabin is located right outside of Lead close enough if you need to run to the store. Lead is Next to Deadwood, that's next Sturgis and 45 min to Rapid. You won't miss any downtown events Spearfish Canyon is right around the corner and a short drive to Lake Pactola. Fishing, hiking atv's it's all there.

This cabin was the perfect place for myself, my momma, and my two girls to stay while we explored the Black Hills. It offered us all the comforts of home (including a great space for the girls to hang out) all while feeling magical. Sitting in the hot tub while it snowed was amazing and we could see deer running across the back. So amazing. Budi was very helpful when I had questions in the beginning as I'd never stayed in a vrbo before. And now I know I'll never go back to hotels. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet csb8n getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Lazy Bear. The location was amazing, the pool and hot tub were great. The only down fall was the dryer not being functional. After being away from home for a week we were looking forward to washing and rewearing clothes! We would definitely stay at Lazy Bear again!

This trip was one of best I’ve ever been on. It’s perfect distance from Terry. Only takes five minutes to get to the Dark Horse. Then depending how many people are with you it’s only 20 to 30 dollar taxi to downtown deadwood. The beds were comfortable. Hot Tub has a great View. Would Recommend.

We had the best time!! The log cabin was beautiful!! It looked like it belonged in a magazine!! Everything was decorated so beautifully!!! Kitchen had everything we needed. It had an iron and blow dryer in both bathrooms as well!! People were so nice . We saw Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, rodeo, and Custer State park. The cabin was located about an hour and a half from all of those places. Deadwood was the closest. We were 20 mins away from Deadwood. So much fun there. We can’t wait to go back!!!

Beautiful unobstructed view out the back deck. 3 queen bedrooms and full size bunk beds in downstairs living area perfect for the kids. No complaints. Kids loved it. When exploring other cabins in the cabin community, this one may seem like one of the smaller ones but don’t let that fool you. There is plenty of room inside with 2 large decks outdoors. Stayed at the cabin to play games on the outdoor table one evening. Would definitely stay again while exploring the Spearfish Canyon area.

The cabin was very homey. Perfect amount of space for our family and a few friends. The hot tub was a great. Most of all the cabin was CLEAN and comfortable. We had no problems whatsoever. We very much enjoyed the clean and neatly decorated house. Hot tub was easy to operate and so lovely to relax in under the stars. The clubhouse is fun. There is a pool. Lounge areas. Pool table, poker table, and video game. We had a great time.

Our party consisted of 8 adults (4 couples) staying at the Lazy Bear Lodge. The entire place was beautifully decorated and provided a very relaxing homey atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had every kind of dish, cook ware, and utensils we needed and more! The decks were perfect for both morning coffee & evening cocktails while watching the deer in the clearing below. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day riding motorcycles! Really hated to leave!!!

We loved our stay at the Lazy Bear Lodge! The house was lovely, with a great layout, and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The location was close to a running/walking trail, perfect for the runners in the group. Though there were other houses close by, it was very quiet and private. This was a very nice cabin and had most everything you need to enjoy your stay . Very close to Deadwood but that is a 2 hour stop at most . 2 1/2 hours from the Badlands and 1 1/2 hours from Custer State Park with an incredible drive.I must say the pool is horrible and freezing . It is not heated no matter what they say. Also the clientele is high on the white trashy side that frequent the pool. Overall this is a perfect cabin to stay at if you going to explore what South Dakota has to offer.

We LOVED Lazy Bear. It was the perfect home for the three couples we brought. Each couple had a room and since there were two bathrooms, there was plenty of space for everyone. It was nice to have the common space to use the hot tubs and play pool. It was the perfect weekend! The property was in superb condition and was very well kept.

Wow...nicely appointed cabin, very happy with our stay here. Only recommendations, first aid kit and hair dryer. Definitely would return!

What an amazing experience all around. Our cabin was very inviting; we felt right at home having everything we needed and more. The area around the cabin in Gilded Mountain is very well maintained, and the cabin was spotless. We all enjoyed the heated pool in the middle of the winter as well!;) Budi is super quick to respond to any questions before and during our stay. What a great place to stay and cozy up to the fireplace after a good day on the ski slopes! If you’re looking for a vacation home, given all of the great property options managed by Black Hill Adventure Lodging, I’m not sure why you would work with anyone else in the area. Highly recommended!

Our experience was wonderful. We came in and everything was nice and clean. The only things that I could say is that we didn't have any propane when we went to grill. But when I called Budi, she sent someone over right away with a tank. The other thing would be the knives are not sharp at all. And the towels had a musty smell to them. Other than that it was great. We will be back.

Lazy Bear lodge was the perfect weekend getaway! The cabin was very beautifully decorated and located close enough to all the areas activities. We came with younger children and enjoyed that they had a few toys, books, and games. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at few meals. We will recommend the lazy bear and will look to book again in the future!

I absolutely enjoyed everything Lazy Bear Lodge had to offer. An extremely clean, well furnished, and enjoyable cabin. The cabin is located in an absolutely beautiful area. Can't wait to go back!!! Location is wonderful when considering the local attractions.

We absolutely LOVED Lazy Bear Lodge, and Budi was extremely easy to work with! Each of our questions before and during our stay were answered very quickly. Lazy Bear is spacious and very well stocked. The views are beautiful - and the location is less than ten minutes from Lead with a full grocery store, so anything you need is very close.

We had a wonderful stay at Lazy Bear. The cabin was cozy, but spacious. Had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Our kids loved the access to the club house pool and pool table. There is a grocery store minutes away and it is secluded yet close to several restaurants. Cheyenne crossing was out favorite!- You won't regret your stay.
