Welcome to your next favorite home-away-from-home here at Iron Wheel Lodge! This custom mining themed upscale cabin is nestled in the pine trees in the highly sought after Powder House Pass area outside of Deadwood/Lead. Being in the heart of the recreational corridor in the Northern Black Hills, you'll love the proximity to the local Mickelson Trail and snowmobile Trail #5 for your winter and summer adventures! Terry Peak is just a short 10 minute drive up the hill and you can actually catch a glimpse of the Eastern side of the mountain from the property! You can also enjoy the rim-rock canyon walls of Spearfish Canyon for a day of hiking, fly fishing and a summer cruise in as little as 5 minutes. ATV, snowmobile, hike, or bike straight from the cabin without having to worry about finding a trailhead, or stroll through the neighborhood and enjoy the old mining claims. With frequent wildlife, and incredible starry skies, the location couldn't be better. Keystone, Mount Rushmore, Hill City, and Custer State Park can all be accessed within under an hour's drive as well! Whether you're visiting the Black Hills for a relaxing getaway, a sight-seeing trip or an adventure-filled vacation, Iron Wheel Lodge is sure to make your trip delightful.

Once you've finished with your adventure filled days, coming home to your very own getaway cabin will be the icing on the cake. The design and upscale furnishings have been selected for comfort and relaxation. There's over 2100 sq. ft. of living space and 3 bedrooms complete with a king bed, queen bed, and two twin beds. The open living/kitchen area is perfect for gathering while the wood flooring and rock fireplace set the cabin mood. There's a 3 car garage for your vehicles and motorcycles, and a wrap around covered patio to enjoy the outdoors. You'll also be one of the closest cabins to the Powder House Pass clubhouse, so a short walk and you can enjoy a heated pool, gas fire-pit, pool table, shuffleboard, a gathering place and more! Great experience! Open floor plan with great layout for family to all be in an area to visit, play games or watch TV. Nice to have a main site on the first floor for our parents to use without having to climb stairs. Also liked having another suite upstairs. The child’s playroom upstairs also served as a private “bedroom” for 2 of our guests.

The location was beautiful. I would have preferred that the hot tub was private, and not in full view of the other homes, so it was not used as much as I hoped for. Overall a pleasant experience.

Our family loved the location of this clean and well maintained property. The hot tub made for a perfect ending to a day at Terry Peak. Our kids also enjoyed some game time at the clubhouse! Very clean and beautiful cabin. Definitely would stay again and recommend to others!

Our family vacation was fantastic and we had a great rental to stay in. It had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a hot tub, and trees surrounding. It was very family friendly, easy to find, and easy access to surrounding towns and activities. We would highly recommend this area for a family stay.

We absolutely LOVED this house! From all the unique interior design aspects, to the super comfy beds, to the awesome clubhouse and of course the hot tub - it made our stay so memorable. We didn't want to leave! We will certainly coming back in the near future!

Simply beautiful and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous lodge and its private hot tub! Totally clean and easy to find near the clubhouse for games with an outdoor heated pool and gas fire-pit. Would highly recommend to friends and relatives.

This is a very nice home in the Powder House Pass division. The new construction and nice finishes make it a very cozy getaway. This home is near the entrance which is convenient for finding it and accessing the community building but it does make for more traffic and road noise than if you were deeper in the neighborhood.

Neither ensuite has a bath tub so I'd say it lacks a true master suite. The outdoor space is limited to the sidewalks and small back patio with an unlandscaped yard. The wifi is very slow, even when just 2 users were connected.

The house is very nice and comfortable for our small group. The kitchen was adequately supplied. The development is growing so there was construction across the street. We prefer a quieter, more secluded rental.

Was very satisfied with the house and amenities. Location was also very close to Lead so could get anything you forgot. Only thing we were not satisfied with was the water pressure and hot water. It took 5 minites to get luke warm water to kitchen.

This is a great location just south of Lead. Quick access to trails right from the house. Very short drive to Spearfish Canyon at Savoy for hiking and waterfalls. There were three adult couples each with there own room and bathroom. Beautiful, quality home. Looking forward to returning soon!
