Description

Have you ever wished you had a private pond? Well you can now experience having one while on vacation in the Black Hills. You'll feel as though you're living in the area, and won't have to leave for activities - you can enjoy feeding the fish at your own private pond!

Hanna Creek Lodge is walking distance from the entrance to Spearfish Canyon and food/beverages at Cheyenne Crossing - you have to try the Indian Tacos! You'll get to enjoy 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in a secluded setting among the pine trees. There's a double car garage with plenty of parking on the property and a large wrap around deck to take in that lovely smell of ponderosa pines.

You'll love the seclusion of this property with room to spread out with your group of up to 6 people. Great location for access to ATV/Snowmobile trails, Spearfish Canyon adventures, golfing at Lead Country Club, and skiing at Deer Mountain/Mystic Miner or Terry Peak.

Absolutely wonderful cabin. Clean, comfortable, and great location. My kids absolutely loved feeding the fish each day and watching them in the pond. The beds were super comfortable. We will definitely return in the future and we highly recommend!

Loved the cabin, clean, open, roomy. Stocked with the essentials needed for camping. I would suggest having a lamp or two & a new grill, but works. Ideal location-not far from Lead & Deadwood. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was better than we expected. Very clean, plenty of necessities available in the home, wonderful garage for our motorcycles, absolutely loved the location. Sitting on the deck listening to the stream babble and then feeding the trout in the pond was icing on the cake.
We came to SD to get married; the house was perfect!

An absolutely great get away location. Close enough to amenities but the location gives you the privacy and quiet a person wants. Only "issue" would be it advertises a private trout pond on site, which we planned on letting the kids fish from, but when you get there fishing is banned. We were able to find a lake within about 35 minutes we enjoyed, but did affect our plans for the day. I wish it was advertised that it was a viewing pond only.

However, there is an incredible place to fish just walking distance from this cabin where you can literally see the fish swimming. We were very happy with our stay at Hanna Creek Lodge. It was located in the hills but was close to the things we wanted to visit and the cab ride was short and inexpensive. We liked that there was plenty of room in the driveway to unload our side by sides and to park our trailer and vehicles. Will definitely keep it in mind for our next vacation.

Our stay at Hanna Creek was lovely! The cabin was in great shape and very clean and tidy. The space is isolated enough that we were able to spend time outside in the quiet, but close enough to Lead and Spearfish that we were able to grab groceries and gas when necessary. Budi was very responsive to texts if we had an issue. Kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and pots and pans. Would definitely recommend this for other visitors!

Very enjoyable. It was peaceful to have a small pond near the cabin. Our teenage son enjoyed sitting there and watching the fish- even though he could not cast out! Cabin was clean, nice cross breeze in the evening so a/c not needed. Appreciated having laundry on site. Kitchen supplies were good/adequate, appreciated the grill out on the deck. Would rent again

The lodge was great for what we needed. We don't spend much time at cabin but it had what we needed. It was a bit of a drive to get back and forth to the attractions we went to see but if you were going to be in the Lead/ Deadwood area. It would be perfect.

House is beautifully set in the Hills. Wind and creek water noise are pleasant in the background. House is a little dated but we didn't go to the hills to be inside. Would have been nice if a few of room corners wouldn't have had cob webs in them. Other than that house was quite clean. House is close to Cheyenne Crossing with great food and true Hills atmosphere. Trout pond was very cool. Garage was nice to have available also.

Overall this place was nice and quiet. Privacy was good too. The only item that was a little negative was the water pressure. It was quite low.

This is the perfect way to vacation in the Black Hills! Hanna Creek Lodge was a beautiful location, spacious home, with everything we needed plus some great extras. We were able to ride our UTV's right from the lodge and see some beautiful scenery. Definetly recommended for Black Hills getaway!!!

We spent a great weekend in the Hills. The cabin was very comfortable, clean, and a beautiful location. Loved the trout pond! Wish we could have located the remote for the fireplace. It was a rainy weekend so that would have been nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Had an excellent time at the Hanna Creek Lodge. Was well maintained and clean. Cabin was everything listed. The only things you need to bring to this cabin are yourself, your luggage, and your own food. Everything else is provided. Cabin has all kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, cups, towels, you name it and it is very likely already there.
Would recommend to anyone. Was very quite. Slept every night with the window open.

The only shortcoming was that the nearby Cheyenne Crossing Restaurant closes at 8:00pm.
