Description

Let's meet at Base Camp! This stunning 6-bedroom, 6 bath lodge sleeps 21 with no beds in the common areas! Whether it’s for a group of friends, a family gathering or a corporate retreat, this lodge has been custom designed and furnished to make you feel at home with plenty of space to gather together or to spread out and enjoy!

The Powder House Pass Development is centrally located in the Northern Hills recreational region and is only 15 minutes from Deadwood. You will enjoy the paved roads, hi-speed internet, cellular service, and easy parking - even in the winter months. There is also a Community Clubhouse and Clubhouse pool that is heated year-round for your group to enjoy.

We wanted Base Camp to be accessible to everyone in your group, so we built it with zero steps to get into the main floor. Your whole group can all be together in the vaulted great room that includes kitchen, dining and living room. The large island and dining table will provide ample seating! We also have a built-in buffet area to make serving a breeze. The lodge has been designed to make cooking easy and fun, and we have tried to think of everything so you can enjoy the well-stocked kitchen. We have two 14-cup coffee pots, so you can grab a cup and curl up by the fireplace or go out to the deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Also on the deck, you will find both a large Napoleon and a Blackstone Grill, so that you have options! Burgers, pancakes, steaks or bacon - you can do it all!

The expansive lower-level great room has an 86” television and comfortable seating to enjoy movie night or a big game. For your convenience, there is laundry both upstairs and downstairs. There is also a treadmill and workout area in the lower level. For those who prefer to get their exercise out in nature, the Mickelson Trail is accessible from a path right in the backyard! You can also have a game night with a wide variety of options provided and the kiddos have their own little nook down here too, including a desk area and play tent. You'll also love the free Youtube TV and high-speed Starlink satellite internet!

There is no need to keep the coolers on ice since we have a 45 cubic foot double door commercial refrigerator in the garage as well as an industrial ice maker!. The oversized garage is also outfitted with storage cabinets equipped with an air compressor, jack and tools to help with minor fixes. There are ample places to hang coats, helmets and snow gear in the heated garage too. We have provided some fun outdoor games, like giant Jenga, cornhole and bocci ball.

With almost 1000 square feet of outdoor living space, your group can enjoy the beauty the Black Hills has to offer. Relax in comfortable Adirondack chairs by the gas fire pit, at the outdoor bar, or in the large hot tub. If the upstairs grills aren’t satisfying everyone’s hunger, there is an additional large Napoleon grill on the downstairs patio for your enjoyment.

Parking for your trailers will be a breeze with a pull-through parking lane that extends all the way through the lot. There are also maps in the garage that show some great ATV trails that can be accessed right from the lodge. If you have a motorcycle or classic car and just want to road trip for the day and put on some miles, we have got some maps with some suggested routes, too! The snowmobile trails can also be accessed from the development and Terry Peak is just down the road for those who love skiing.

Base Camp Lodge is the perfect place to experience the beauty of the Black Hills!

We just returned for a three night stay at Base Camp Lodge in the beautiful development at Powder House Pass. The stay was wonderful and there was plenty of room for the 8 adults and 8 kids. Having six bedrooms with six bathrooms was great. Loved the bedrooms with the king beds and set of bunk beds for the families with little ones. The house was in great shape and clean. Budi and her staff at Black Hills Adventure Lodging were fantastic to work with as well. The extra refrigerator and the corn hole boards were a nice touch too. Our weather was amazing so we were able to spend a lot of time outdoors. Would definitely rent this home again.

What a beautiful place to spend a weekend with the best girl friends! The driveway was perfect size for the vehicles. The center island was the perfect size for gathering around and chatting until the wee hours of the morning :) Everyone raved about how comfortable the beds were. The hot tub was a huge hit as well! The house was very clean and everything was easy to find. The contact person was quick to respond to any questions we had via email. All of the girls talked about how we should come back here every so often - it was so fun! During our stay we walked downtown Deadwood, hiked around the lodge and had supper in Spearfish one night! Highly recommend!

Our group of 17 ranged in age from 10 months to 72 years. Owners thought of everything for babies, elementary age kids, 20 and 30 somethings and the grandparents! Beautiful home, setting and amenities. If we didn't live so far away, we would return regularly. Thank you!

This rental property was outstanding!! The place was very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and perfectly located. The host pays attention to all of the little details, the house and garage are well stocked and equipped with anything you would need. We would definitely recommend this property! A shout out to Budi, THANK YOU for providing excellent customer service!! We recommend the following areas; Terry's Peak, Spearfish Canyon/Falls, Cement Ridge, Nemo, Rochford, Galena, Flag Mountain, Lake Dalton & the Centennial Trail. The Boars Nest is a great place to grab a cold drink and a bite to eat, great atmosphere!!

The place was amazing. Everyone in the family had their own room and bathroom to retreat to for privacy. The common areas were perfect for watching a movie or playing games. The dining room table was big enough for the whole family to sit and eat a meal together. We will definitely be turning this into an annual event partly because of this property

This house and host were amazing! More than what we expected! Budi is a great host and helped us be comfortable through a snowstorm during our stay. This house has everything you could ever need and more! There are multiple areas for you to gather but also plenty of space to give everyone privacy during your stay. Its quick drive into town as well. About 10-15 minutes. 10/10 and would stay again!

Excellent. The location was ideal for trail riding and biking plus there was ae festival in Deadwood that add to the experiences.
The house was in very good condition with plenty of cookware for our large group.
The community pool was well maintained an d meet our expectation for fun.
The cleaning of the house was better then what we expected. It definitely felt like cleaning was completed with attention to detail.
We had on issue with the hot tub and was quickly corrected... no complaints.

The layout of the house was conducive to individual families being able to stay together with the little ones yet plenty of play area for all age groups.
The kids enjoyed the wildlife and the s'mores .

All I can say was this place was awesome. Very clean, modern, and plenty of room for everyone. We were there for the UTV trails and they did not disappoint. Access to the trails from the house was super easy. Plenty of maps available right at the house, and the ones in the garage were even highlighted with some sites to see, and suggested routs. Was hoping to get up and use the pool at the clubhouse after riding, but we were having too much fun at the house, so never got a chance to check that out. The only complaint we had was with the ice make in the garage. It was very hit and miss if it was going to work or not. If you are planning on "plenty of ice" you will be disappointed. Otherwise the house was great, and we would not hesitate to go back. In fact were are already talking about it.

My family of 15 which included two babies age 9 months and 10 months, were extremely happy with the lodge. We loved the spacious bedrooms and six bathrooms! We loved the decor! We loved the well-stocked kitchen and the quality. It was a wonderful place to gather as a group, and with the well equipped lower level, the kids were able to enjoy space apart as well.
We give it five stars!

Our family stayed at Base Camp Lodge and were spoiled by the accommodations. (Six bathrooms, HUGE extra refrigerator, ice maker, outside games, hot tub/fire pit...). It wasn't quite as easy to get to the Mickelson Trail as we had hoped, so we trailered bikes and LOVED every moment of the trail. We also took advantage of the easy trip to Spearfish Canyon and LOVED Devil's Bathtub also! Several members of the family split and enjoyed other North Hills experiences, but a good share of our time was spent just enjoying family at this wonderful location. It will be a family trip to remember.

Wow! Top notch house! It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was also very kid friendly and had all the kid essentials. We loved that our family was under the same roof, but that we all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The laundry on both levels was great too. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor games and seating. Thanks for the wonderful time!
