The property totally lived up to our expectations. We are a family group of 12,aged 2 to 64 years. Everyone had a great time! Black Hills Adventure Lodging is a company we have booked with multiple times, always with Great results!
The only negitives were minor, microwave out of service, coffee maker needs to be replace, and the gas grill could use a good cleaning.

Spent a week at on the rocks and had a wonderful time. House was beautiful and had everything we needed. Enjoyed the neighborhood pool when we would return from our activities.

Overall we had a very good stay at this house. We have stayed here a number of times and will stay again next year. It does need some minor updating. A new coffee maker is desperately needed, takes at least 45 minutes. Bunk beds in basement have loose boards. Extra dish towels. A fire pit out back would be great.

I was initially concerned with all the rocks, but it turned out that it was a blessing. The littles would climb and have a great time like a new kind of jungle gym! Plus is was clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, and there were towels available for the hot tub. Recommend staying here. Perfect for families and kids!

Our group had 8 adults and 8 kids ranging in age from 8 months to 16. We cooked all our meals during 4 days and nights together. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils and appliances. There is a second refrigerator in the garage which wasn't mentioned in the description, so that was a welcomed surprise. For some reason, the dishwasher didn't clean the dishes, so we learned to rinse them completely before loading. The property manager and owner were very responsive when questions arose. The hot tub was cloudy when we arrived, (because the chemicals were missing and were found buried under a snowbank from the recent snow.) The maintenance people came quickly to remedy the situation. Our kids loved the theatre room and the adults enjoyed the large dining room table for meals, puzzles and games. The cabin worked great for us and we'd recommend to others.

My brother-in-law had his bachelor party here and really enjoyed their stay. It was perfecting space for them to play games and swim. Would recommend for anyone!

Had a great time. The rental was everything we could have asked for. We had 9 adults and 6 kids and still had plenty of room. The house was setup perfectly for our crew.

On the Rocks was the perfect place to stay for our extended family getaway to the Black Hills. The 5 bedrooms were perfect for our 3 couples and 9 children. Amazing place! It was clean, beautiful home with lots of things offered. The move theatre was great, games, hot tub, and cozy blankets. It’s close to deadwood but yet far enough away. We all enjoyed our time and will be back.

We had a great time. A portion of our party arrived before me. When they got to our rental the heat was not working. Budi made a quick assessment and got us a different cabin very quickly. This cabin was the new cabin.

Our group really enjoyed this home, it is in a great location with lots to do. Lots of area outside for yard games, huge kitchen area and the clubhouse is a great added bonus.

The property was over all awesome! Very nice and clean, also very bright and spacious for a group with 5 couples we really enjoyed the spa and the large kitchen and the garage for our motorbikes!!! We reccomend this property to anyone :-)

The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The AC needs some work but it cools off rather quickly in the afternoon so it wasn't much of an issue. Would stay here again.

Beautiful home. Very well maintained, plenty of space for sleeping and living. Seating for 26 downstairs with all the couches and tables. Hot tub was nice on a cool evening. Gas fire pit was great for s'mores. Neighborhood was peaceful and great for evening walks. Would stay here again!

We had an awesome trip at On the Rocks! Our group was 3 families with 8 kids and the cabin was just perfect for us. The kids had their own space for movies and sleeping and the adults enjoyed the upstairs great room and patio. The cabin is almost brand new and we found everything to be very clean and in working order. We ventured down to the Custer area most days on our trip, but also loved that the cabin was close to Lead/Deadwood. Very responsive host for the few questions we had. Highly recommend this cabin for large groups/families!
