We had a great time at this cabin. Three generations and just the right amount of room for all 7 of us. The cabin is fully stocked and had extra essentials that you usually don’t see at an VRBO rental. Our family loved the location and how secluded it was. We have already highly recommended this place to our friends and family. We will be back.

The cabin was absolutely stunning! Plenty of room for our family of five. Had EVERYTHING we could possibly need while staying. We enjoyed eating on the back deck for many meals- the view was out of this world! During our stay there were basically no neighbors so felt totally secluded in our own! Perfection for us! Would stay again!

Everything was great!! From the view to the deer and chipmunks. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well kept. A home away from home. Town was only minutes away.

This is an excellent cabin with a secluded feel and an awesome view. No city noises from outside with a super comfy set-up inside. This cabin was an excellent choice for our first trip to South Dakota and we would certainly recommend Aspen Summit to anyone visiting the area.

This cabin is wonderful! It is beautiful inside and out. It was very clean with enough space for 5 adults. The kitchen was stocked pretty well, we did have to purchase some aluminum foil and plastic bags. The beds are comfortable and plenty of extra blankets if needed. It is very secluded and the road is pretty rough. The only issues that we had were, that there were no mirrors in the bedrooms, only in the bathrooms which made it a little hard for 3 females to get ready in the mornings, and in the main bathroom there was no garbage container, however, we found one in the large storage closet. Overall we loved the cabin and the back deck was perfect for morning coffee and planning the day and the hot tub was perfect for ending a long day of hiking and exploring one of our favorite places on earth! Thank you for providing us with this beautiful cabin for my family and me.

Aspen Summit is a very nice property. The pictures are accurate to the actual appearance of the cabin in person. The location is great if you want to head to Deadwood or the ski hills. Absolutely beautiful cabin and location. Very secluded hilltop cabin that was well stocked. Very nice kitchen open to dining and living room. Nice deck overlooking valley with beautiful sunrise over the mountain. Water in bathrooms do smell but the place is so nice it’s very easy to overlook.

We loved the location. Very private with just a short drive to all of the action. All instructions for the cabin were displayed and easy to follow. The property managers thought of everything, which made the stay very pleasant. We had an amazing time at Aspen Summit! Beautiful views, quiet, private, it was just perfect! The cabin had every feature from home you could possibly want. There was an issue with the water heater when we were there. The owner had it under control immediately, getting it replaced and taking care of things much quicker than we anticipated, very friendly people! We are already planning our trip for next year, thank you!

Super view from the hill top cabin. Very peaceful location. If your pulling a trailer be sure to have a vehicle that can get it up and down a steep grade.

Aspen Summit had everything our family of 6 could want/need. It was nice and clean and the hot tub was a hit! Each morning I had coffee with the sunrise and was greeted by deer. What a view! May not be ideal for very young children as the edges are pretty steep but they have it blocked off with logs nicely. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back!

We had learned of this cabin from some friends from Hartford and decided to rent it for a week. Great views-even of the snow! Had a very relaxing time and some friends joined us for a couple days which was great!

A wonderful location and view! Remote and isolated but town is not far away. House was comfortable well equipped. Make sure you take your own basic food and condiments, nothing in the house but salt and pepper. If you know that and prepare, you will have a wonderful stay!

This place was absolutely a hidden gem! The location on top of the mountain made for perfect sunrises out the picture window with the fire place on and a cup of coffee. The hot tub on the other side of the cabin made for a perfect sunset location with a cocktail and relaxation. I will definitely be renting this location again and again.

My family of four LOVED this cabin. It was impeccably clean, completely private (we didn't hear any human or road noise the entire time, or see another soul), and peaceful. Simple walks along the gravel road (wild raspberries growing in patches!) were our favorite thing given COVID-19, but we also made several trips to nearby Custer State Park. Property manager was responsive, but we didn't have any issues with the house so didn't need to contact her during our stay. Other commenters have mentioned that the hot tub is not on the side of the house with the most spectacular view, but it DOES have a view - a beautiful - and was a very nice/clean hut tub. Parents with young children will need to monitor their kids outside the property, as the property edges are steep and slippery, and a child could easily slide down them. But it is worth it for that view and dinners out back.

This was an awesome, secluded cabin that had a great view and was in driving distance of everything we wanted to get to in the Lead/Deadwood area. What a great cabin and a great way to stay in the Black Hills and enjoy awesome sunrises and sunsets! We WILL be staying there again!

We pulled a 12' trailer with side by side and with the steepness of road leading up and once to top it was challenging to navigate with trailer to park. Had to back in due to hauling trailer. It was a distance from main road but with having side by side it didn't matter much.

The only issue we had was garbage pickup, but I spoke with BHAL (on a Sunday) and they said they'd been having issues all month at their properties with pickup. They did say it was noted in the cabin handbook what day of the week pickup was, but it was not in there anywhere.

The directions provided before our stay to get to the cabin from Alt 14 were quite poor. I'd suggest providing a map or private YouTube video for guests to follow.

The amenities were to our satisfaction and everything we needed for a guy's weekend, which included the grill, hot tub, and TV for watching the NBA Finals. The cabin itself was conveniently located only 10 minutes away from Deadwood, which is where we spent a lot of our weekend.

Property was superbly maintained, and as the individual who handled all of the payment and communication with the property manager, the superb service cannot be understated. Payment was very easy, the manager was very easy to communicate with via email as well as text and phone call throughout the entirety of the trip, which included during and planning the trip.

I would not only recommend this cabin personally, but I would recommend any other cabin this group offers simply based off their service. This was the second time I've used this service and I was not disappointed either time. Highly recommend.

Our cousins come every year and this year I decided to suprise them with a stay in the Black Hills. The awe of the location was breath taking. The inside of the cabin more than exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated and so clean. As our stay came to a close we didn't want to leave.

Our cousins come every year and this year I decided to suprise them with a stay in the Black Hills. The awe of the location was breath taking. The inside of the cabin more than exceeded our expectations. Beautifully decorated and so clean. As our stay came to a close we didn't want to leave.

First off, the address given in the pictures is not the actual address. When I mapped it, it showed we were staying over by Terry Peak. The location is actually on the other side of Lead heading toward Central City. Was a little disappointed when we didnt find that out until we actually got there. But, the view was awesome, cabin was nice and clean! Enough room for our trucks and trailers and RZRs to park. Very secluded, and quite!

Great new cabin which supplied pretty much everything needed. The starter amount of supplies was plenty for the 4 nights we were there. The only thing needed for the kitchen was a cookie sheet, griddle, and 9x13 pan. Very secluded. We only had 1 vehicle come by that we noticed, yet a short drive to the main highway. Highly recommend for older children and adults.

Arrived at night, it was pitch blank but thanks to the property owner i was able to find my way to the cabin. It was such an amazing place it was very cozy and had very fast wifi and any video streaming software you could want! It also came with a stove, oven, pots and pans it was perfect!

Our great escape could not have been any better. We made tons of memories and shared a lot of laughs. Aspen Summit was clean the location was pristine and beautiful. We loved waking up to the sunrise coming in through the large window in the home. The views and the scenery were amazing. The home was very clean and smelled brand new when you walked through the doors. It was very well stocked with towels and bedding and extra blankets and it was great to not have to worry about those little things.

Fabulous view beautiful accommodations!! If you need to get away from it all this is your place. May not be the place for younger kids due to steep drop offs. We were there several days and never saw anyone! We were just minutes from town if we needed anything. It was perfect. This is our second experience with Black Hills Adventure Lodging and have been happy both times. Buddi is awesome to work with!
