We rented the cabin to ring in the New Year. It was clean, well appointed, and a very usable space. The bedrooms are separated from each other which makes it feel more private. We really enjoyed the cabin and spent the majority of our time on the main floor in a circle in front of the fireplace.

We would definitely rent this property again.

We stayed at this lovely home for our son's wedding. It was a perfect place as we all had our own bathroom to get ready in for each day's adventures in the beautiful Black Hills. The basement was a great place for a young family as it gave them a quiet area to get little ones down early. This home was incredibly clean and the views were beautiful.

This is a great place for large groups/families. There was plenty of space to have a private area for each of our family units. The gather area was just the right size and the deck added extra space as well. Having enough bathrooms so families didn't have to share was a plus too. Very easy to find and close to Deadwood!

The house is very well located for the northern Black Hills area, and is only 45 minutes from the tourist areas of Rapid City. A little farther to the Mt. Rushmore area at 90 minutes, but we could not find a cabin/house that could sleep 17 in the Keystone area.

Our family consisted of two families with small children plus 3 couples. Our children and grandchildren were able to have their own space in the lower level which was helpful for early bedtimes. The location was perfect for getting on trails for riding ATVs and there was plenty of parking for all of our pickups and trailers. I can definitely see us staying here again in future years.

House was as described in the photo's. Clean and ready for us when we arrived and the few questions we had the caretaker took care of right away. Only issue is WIFI does not cover the entire house well and is not fast so if you plan on working from there make other arrangements. The extra refrigerator in the garage was nice to have for a large group. Plenty of seating on the deck for a large group.

This was a great solution for seven guys to crash after days of riding around the black hills. Having a garage to park the bikes in was a plus. Nice location convenient to Deadwood and Sturgis. We would consider this place again if and when we return.

Perfect set-up for our group! We rode during the day, and chilled out every evening watching deer in the back yard! We will be back!

Pillar Peak Place was amazing. I don't think we could find a better place for our anniversary celebration. My grandkids loved all the room. Loved sitting on the deck mornings and evenings. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a large group.

Had no complaints at all about the entire booking and communication process. Everything was super easy and keys, directions were all as described.
We had high hopes of the property and have to admit that location was stunning but we were all a little underwhelmed by the interior. Lounge furniture was old and tired with some staining visible on sofa and lamp shade, two lighting fixtures were actually broken and potentially dangerous - especially the one in thee attic bathroom. There was some grout missing from the master bath floor tiles and would have been great to see batteries in the Wii controllers in the 'game room' so that kids could have actually played with the system.
Overall we had a very nice time but guess the entire family just expected a little more from a property rental of this caliber.

The cabin is first rate. There was a problem with garbage removal. Almost 1/2 of the garbage container from the previous was never dumped. We purchased more toilet paper. It would be helpful to have a small refrigerator in the lower level space. There is only one DVD player. It would be good to have a second one in the lower level as well. The washer dryer machines are wonderful. I would have enjoyed meeting Budi Kusser sometime during our stay. I can't believe there is no grocery store in Deadwood!

This lodge as perfect for our family. The location was near both Deadwood and Sturgis, as well as the Black Hills. The drives to Rapid City and Keystone were easy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and utensils. The bedrooms were perfect for our five families. We were very pleased.

This lodge as perfect for our family. The location was near both Deadwood and Sturgis, as well as the Black Hills. The drives to Rapid City and Keystone were easy. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and utensils. The bedrooms were perfect for our five families. We were very pleased.
